FINISHED QUILT! FABRIC giveaway!


FRESH SQUEEZED FABRIC GIVEAWAY and TUTORIAL

I am finished! I did free motion stippling all around, and I LOVE it a lot! I did super tiny stitches, and it took me 4-5 hours. (is that embarrassing? do you all do it in like 45 minutes) It is the biggest quilt I have done. I am loving playing with my machines free motion quilting, plus, if I add my girl math, that is another $50 less the cost of my machine. (remember every time I machine quilt a quilt myself, I get to deduct $50 off what I paid for my machine) My husband said "soon I am going to be owing you money"...thats the spirit!  

Don't you just love the just out of the dryer crinkliness? (is that a word, I was sure it was, but spell check sure thinks it isn't)


EASY TUTORIAL
1. Create six dutch pinwheels here
2. Assemble the 6 pinwheels according to quilt photo.
3. Add 2" brown stop borders
5.  Add 6" outside borders
Finished quilt size 50 x 68

    Since it HAS to be a celebrity and can't be my husband...I'd have to say Rob Lowe. Chocolate, lots of chocolate (mousse would be great). I'm with Rob Lowe and you think I might be crafting???? Okay, it is your story - quilting. If we are repopulating the earth all those babies are going to need quilts!

    I like the bundles - Soul Blossoms for sure but I think the Beach Mod Circa 60 ORGANIC Collection, Monaluna for Birch Fabrics would fit in with the island.

    Well... that's difficult to choose ;) My first thought would be Christian Bale, but than on the island you have to try to survive, so the best would be Bear Grylls :D:D

    My celebrity choice is easy :) Rob Thomas (lead singer of matchbox twenty and sexiest man alive) For dessert I would have to bring Ben and Jerry's Half Baked ice cream and I'd bring my Grandmother's Flower Garden project, although if I'm alone with Rob Thomas on an island repopulating the earth...I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be getting much sewing done. ;)

    Not sure on the celebrity, I'd definitely take a Ritter's Peanut Butter Mountain (vanilla ice cream covered in peanut butter sauce with Reese's on top) and my sewing machine with a fun, long-lasting project!

    Beautiful quilt! Beautiful fat quarters! If stranded on an island I'm not sure who I'd like to repopulate the earth with however I do know I would love chocolate wonder pudding every day and I'd have to bring my entire stash, sewing machine, etc., in order to survive!

    David Ferrer. He's a tennis professional from Spain and if you haven't seen him you need to check him out. I'd probably make him sit still for a few years just to watch him breathe! I'd bring all my scraps w/needles and threads to make one quilt for us to snuggle in. Dessert would be Cherries Jubilee with candles for atmosphere. (It's a good thing my husband doesn't read blogs)

    hhhhmmmm, as far as a celebrity I would like to be stranded with, I truly cannot think of one that I lust after. I would prefer to be stranded with husband! Boring, I know, but it's the truth!
    Dessert - ice cream for sure!!
    Craft - definitely a quilting project. I could always piece by hand. Gotta have my fabric, no matter what!

    Wanted to tell you that I LOVE the job you did free-motioning that quilt. YAY you! Five hours for a piece that large is fast. I just finished FMQ work on my grandbaby's quilt and it took about 12 hours of machine work. Mine was loop-de-loops.

    This probably sounds boring, but my husband is famous enough for me. We make such cute babies a whole world of them would be just right. Dessert? Probably ice cream and a lot of it. And, of course, as long as my sewing room was with me and there was a current bush to run the machine I would be perfectly content.

    I doubt there is any celebrity I would want to be with...I don't watch tv much and really can't imagine being with anyone other than my hubby...so will have to pass on that part of the question...

    As to dessert...I'd love a great cheesecake! I'll bring some strawberry topping too! and I'd have to have a sewing machine to sew a quilt!

    I know I've been in this shop before on etsy! She has so much I can drool over! I really appreciate bundles of fabric, because you get a variety.

    How can I choose just one?!?!?! =)
    I guess I'm going to narrow it down to this Moda bundle...I hope it's as orange as I'm imagining...cause I love orange!

    I'd bring my husband (he's a celebrity to me), Nanaimo bars, and some knitting. But then again, I guess nothing knitted would be needed on a desert island. Maybe I'd learn to make grass skirts and coconut bras. ???

    A celebrity? I would be happily stranded with my hubby. I would be bringing my all time favorite Dreyers Peanut Buter ice cream, but then it would more than likely melt to a mushy mess. I would definitely bring either my knitting or stitchery project since it's handy.

    If I was stranded on a dessert island with Wentworth Millar from Prison Break I would gladly repopulate the world with him! I would bring my delicious Butterfinger Chocolate Cake (of course it would not cause me wot gain 10 pounds like it normally does!) and I would Bring my batik fabrics and the sewing machine to make the Foundation Paper Piecing Quilt, Stepping Stones!

    I'd take dark chocolate (assuming, of course, that it wouldn't melt) because it's simple and delicious.

    And I'd have to say some embroidery project, since there wouldn't be electricity to plug in on the island!
