A Positvity Quilt from Deux Petites Souris

Cinzia from Deux Petites Souris created this fun positivity quilt I love the story behind it. Cinzia is the co-founder and president of the Montreal Modern Quilt Guild. Cute blog, also, be sure to check out her quilt finishes for some serious inspiration!

Positivity…it all started with some negativity!

At around the time that I was planning the layout for my quilt, there seemed to be a stream of negative ranting going on in blogland.
I guess people were just letting off some steam, but I was relatively new to blogging at the time and it scared me a little. Here I was finally finding the courage to share a part of me with the world and everyone was being so negative.  I was beginning to  feel a little discouraged, until I came across this post. In contrast to all the negativity that was going on Emily was highlighting all that was good in blogland! How refreshing! I was inspired then to write about something positive too and that, in turn, inspired the name for the quilt!

It has been just about a year since that post and all the positive feedback I've received for my Positivity quilt and all the generosity that is handed out everyday in blogland, through comments, swaps, and great blogs like this one, has reminded me to always keep my glass half full! So Thank you Megan and Heather for featuring me and so many other wonderful quilters everyday…I love to hear the stories behind the quilts.  You can just feel the love that is sewn into each and every stitch!

...as defined by dictionary.com is "the state or character of being positive" or, more simply, "something positive".

That's the feeling i wanted to convey with this quilt:
Both in the choce of colors...
and in the design of it...
I think I have acheived that; how the softer shades radiate from the more saturated, cheerful shades to evoke a feeling of hope and serenity and general happiness.

  13. I love creative people. Probably my life revolves around creativity. Mo mother also love quilting, while my father is author of children's books. I am not the exception in family. Some of my work i post at https://conifer.rhizome.org/terry-brown/review-on-gothic-novel-the-thirteenth-tale where I analyze books. Of course my mum's legacy to quilting also passed to me and in free time we sit together with her in cozy arm chair and create.
