First Friday Giveaway Day!

Hope everyone had a swell time trick-or-treating last night.  Ours was a success!  And by that I mean we went door to door begging for candy and got it :)  I had "Dark" Vader, Mario and a monkey in my group :)  Halloween was always one of my favorites growing up but nothing can beat Christmas, sorry :)

After receiving awesome feedback from you (thanks!) and our sponsors we've decided to have monthly giveaways!  The first Friday of the month we will have multiple giveaways, and with few exceptions that will be it.  One comment and you're entered into all of them. So take a minute to read through the great shops, what they're giving away and a little about them.

Critter Patch Fat Quarter Bundle Giveaway

HoneyBeGood is pleased to offer one 6-piece bundle in your choice of colorway - Sky, Autumn or Forest.

Hedgehogs, rabbits, raccoons, foxes and more. Critter Patch, the latest organic quilter's cotton collection by Alyssa Thomas for Clothworks offers up a nice variety of scale, including three prints that can easily be used as blenders. The small oak leaf prints are on a mottled color background that almost shimmers. There's not a stark solid to be found here. The organic cotton coming from Clothworks is quickly becoming among our very favorite. The quality of the cotton and the printing, the supreme softness, and an attractive price point all combine to make Critter Patch a great value.

  1. Weather made the trick-or treaters stay home, so we went to the bar in costume. Facepaint is a lot of fun. We should have more excuses to wear it the rest of the year.

    ReplyDelete
  55. My Halloween night was a very calm one. The weather kept many trick-or-treaters from going door to door. None of my Nieces or nephews live near me so I handed out LARGE handfuls of candy to the kids braving the chance of rain (it had been raining all day...seemed to stop just in time, but the sky still seemed pretty threatening). It was a fun and relaxed halloween night! Thanks for the chance at one of these awesome giveaways!

    ReplyDelete
  56. I got to spend my Halloween in bed sleeping. All my work at work and home just caught up with me and I needed SLEEP! My ninety one year old dad assumed he was going to be answering the door and I made sure he had plenty of goodies for the goblins and such, but alas! No one came to the door. I think everyone is thinking safer Halloween activities and having private parties.
Thank you for an opportunity to win goodies. You and your sponsors are always so generous!

  57. oh my goodness! we had an epic puking incident before we even left the house! im so glad my daughter's timing allowed that nasty trick to happen at home and not someone's doorstep! regardless, she went out, for 10 minutes...dad took her home...and 20 minutes after that...my son and i got rained out. lots of rain...but we still got enough candy to bring smiles to the kids...we snuggled on the couch and watched Mariposa before bed. gonna check out some of these shops now...im stuck at work until 5pm but my boss is out of the office!

    ReplyDelete
  58. Gathered with family, cuddled the grandbaby while mom handed out candy. So fun! Thanks for sharing.

  59. Our Halloween was very quiet, except for the wind howling around the windows! Bad weather had most cities in our area postponing Halloween festivities until tonight. We still won't have folks come here - our house is deep in the woods off the street, and I guess it's too creepy in the dark!! Can't wait to see my granddaughters all dressed up as Merida (from Brave) and her little brother bear, though! thanks for the chance to win!!

    ReplyDelete
  83. What great giveaways! Last night, our family actually celebrated "Reformation Day" - the anniversary of Martin Luther nailing his 95 Theses to the church door on Oct. 31, 1517. Definitely a "nerdy" holiday, but we dressed up, went to a party, played games and won plenty of candy. :)

    ReplyDelete
  84. We took our daughter out trick or treating. It was super windy & very rainy, but she had a marvelous time.

  85. I went to the trunk and treat at our church. I wrapped leftover strips from a strip quilt I had made, added my machine cover as an apron and went as a quilt. The grownups got it, the kids, not so much. But then I get confused with all the female Disney characters. Then my grandson asked if I knew what he was. After informing me he was Bumblebee he asked if he was the old one or the new one!!!???!!! I said old, I was wrong! Of course.
After that quick, intense candy disposal, I went home, answered the door to a few more until the grandkids came over. Once they left, we turned out all the lights and went to bed. On to Thanksgiving and the holiday season!

    ReplyDelete

  93. I LOVE Halloween! We stayed home to hand out popcorn to the trick or treaters. Unfortunately it drizzled on and off so it was a slow Halloween night. Only, maybe 50 kids came by. ReplyDelete
  100. We had perfect cool fall weather for Halloween. I handed out candy to the cutest little people for 2-½ hours. I just love that! My granddaughters were 6 hours away, and I got photos of them later from my daughter, so that was fun. Thanks for the giveaways! Awesome! Great websites, too.

  125. We had a fabulous playgroup Halloween party where most of the kids were only just old enough this year to understand what was going on - so cute!

  129. Grandma got to hand out candy while Grandpa and Dad took Dracula and Spiderman Trick or Treating. The littles ones are the cutest. One wee guy who called out 'Twick or Tweet" just couldn't wait and dug into his bag to see what had been added. It was a hit - 'Look Daddy. I got candy!' So precious.

    ReplyDelete
  142. We gave out over 200 little bags of candy in less than 2 hours. There was even a hayride in our neighborhood. Aww…the advantages of living in Florida. My 18 month old red haired grand daughter was dressed as Pebbles from the Flintstones, and my 8 year old grandson was dressed as one of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. I couldn't ask for a better Halloween.

  160. We had a blast!! The weather was wonderful and the kids were well! We all spent the week before sick so we were all so thankful just to feel like ourselves again! The kids got so much candy which is a good thing to them! I wish we could start trick or treating a little earlier because it stinks that the kids go out and get all this candy and then it's time to go home to get ready for bed because of school the next day but ok guess that's just the name of the game!
Thank you for the chance at your giveaways, Jessica

  175. Well, I thought I had a class to teach so I had my hubby drop me off at Joann's. After an hour of shopping (killing time till class started) I go to the computer to sign and print the class papers it showed the class canceled... :( So I had to wait till 7:30 for my hubby to get out of his class to pick me up and take me home. I killed time at Stbx knitting a sweater (NEVER leave home with out a project!) Then we went home and watched The Voice we recorded. Pretty tame night.
