We just moved less than 2 weeks ago. So all my fabric is in boxes! The good news is that I now have a sewing room! So I guess setting it up is what's on my summer "sewing" list. If I get past that, then the first thing I need to do is to make a looong overdue baby quilt for a friend. I'll use the Posy line and do the 16-patch quilt that's in "Growing Up Modern" by Allison Harris. Fun!

I'm trying to finish just one quilt over the next few months, the #9 from Simply Quilts, Easy as 1,2,3. My new grandson was born April 10 with a heart defect and they are living with us now to be near the special hospital he has to stay near until he has his second heart surgery. Long journey, well worth it. My sewing has slowed down to a crawl, but that's okay.

Been having a wild time. I don't know if I can stand the pace all summer. Since school got on on the 22nd of May 2 grand daughters have finished a project each and my sister came to visit and in 3 days we made 4 lap quilts for her grandchildren and a special friend. We have a 5th one pieced but she left it with me to quilt and bind. It's not due til August. Today 2 more grandchildren asked when they could sew. So Monday we start again. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteI just finished the 5th of 5 paper piecing pattern that I tested for a designer from over at Fandom of Stitches. There are more patterns I'm going to test but right now I need to catch up with my two BOM that I'm doing, I've got May and June to do for both. I then have an neverending list of WIP's that are waiting for batting, backings and quilting. Some day I hope to catch up.
