What inspired your bed runners?
Heather: I have always loved vintage floral, I based this design off my love of vintage. I liked the look of crochet lace with the floral prints. Just a sweet pretty look.
Megan: My "Winding Roads" I loved the idea of a log cabin and playing with the values to create a light center. I though that look was great for a long piece like a bed runner. Plus I think this will work with almost any fabric collection or scraps! For "Burst" I loved the idea of starting a design in the middle and having it spread out and "burst" from the center. Art Gallery Fabrics basics were perfect for this runner!
Do you have other favorite projects from Quick Change?
Heather: I love Megan's Burst bed runner
Megan: I love Heather's Vintage Pedal! So sweet and pretty. I also think this runner is pretty sweet, there's some great projects in the book that can be used year long!
What does the master bedroom of your dreams look like?
Heather: White, cottage, little pops of color.
Megan: Similar to Heather, we are practically twins afterall! A very soft and light palette like white, grays and blues. Then accessorizing with bright yellows or pinks! I like mixing traditional pieces with modern. Clean and simple!

The master bedroom of my dreams would be very spacious with a huge walk-in closet, & private bath.
ReplyDeleteI can't make up my mind on which one I like most - they are so creative. I've never really thought about a certain look for the master bedroom. I'm kinda old fashioned and like a variety of looks.
ReplyDeleteI would like a vintage bed room with lots of antiques and things.
ReplyDeleteThe master bedroom of my dreams is spacious, has a king size bed with a gorgeous quilt on top, and several quilts on the walls.
ReplyDeleteMy dream master bedroom would have a queen sized bed covered in purple quilts and pillows. The bed would be placed so I can look out the french doors onto a quite beach.
ReplyDeleteThe master bedroom of my dreams does not have a sewing machine, an ironing board and shelves of fabric in the corner. That has all been moved to the sewing room of my dreams.
ReplyDeleteThe master bedroom of my dreams has two big closets, new carpet on the floors, new paint on the walls, new blinds in the windows I already have the furniture of my dreams. It's the little details I'm lacking.
I just need a whole bedroom makeover - paint, carpeting, furniture..... and to hit a mega-lottery to do it all!!! Love your quilts and thanks for the chance to win :)

AHHH! These are so cute y'all! Congrats again on the book!
ReplyDeleteLet's see...I like a bit of a french country feel with a mix of modern and traditional furniture in my bedroom. Ticking...mix of blues, creams, deep yellows.
Freshly painted with new curtains and blinds! More closet space would be nice too.
ReplyDeleteI have never thought to do a bed runner, would love to see this book
ReplyDeleteI would love a master bedroom with my own bath. I like the bed runners idea. I plan to lift that one. LOL
ReplyDeleteI just redecorated last fall so I would say that I currently have the master of my dreams. However, I have an ivory quilt on the bed that is screaming for a bed runner! I would love to get my hands on this new book.
ReplyDeleteThe master bedroom of my dreams would be roomy, light and airy, with an area for reading, large windows and a small covered patio through French doors. I think that would be perfect!
ReplyDeleteThese are all so pretty and cheerful!!
ReplyDeleteWe are in a new home, so I have my dream bedroom. But need a bed runner to finish it off and have been wanting to make one.
ReplyDeleteI also like cottage fresh look!
ReplyDeleteI would love a 4 post bed in bright, well lit room - nice soft blues and greens for accent and space for a sitting area
ReplyDeleteI'd have a homemade quilt for the bed, colorful curtains, the junk tucked away in a walk-in closet, and the absence of the giant pile of laundry to fold.
ReplyDeleteI'd relegate hubby's little car collection to his man room :)
ReplyDeleteI've been here and at FQS on the blog tour!
ReplyDeleteBeachy cool colors with a rustic look.
ReplyDeleteCongrats Cover Girl! It's a beautiful runner. I seriously need to update my master bedroom. Hoping to win the book to help!
ReplyDeleteBeen to all the blogs so far. Love what everyone has designed!
ReplyDeleteI'd love to have a spot for a nice reading chair (or sewing chair).
ReplyDeleteMy dream bedroom would be very spacious w/ a large closet. It would be decorated in the blues of the carribean and white
ReplyDeleteI have the bedroom of my dreams. Good size, hardwood floors, nice bedroom set, very light and airy. Just need a rug (large), shades and another set of sheets. Could use a better closet system, those wire ones are a joke.
ReplyDeleteMy dream room would come with a new bed-it's about time! After that, I'd like pale aqua walls & new carpet, plus a bed runner to freshen things up!
ReplyDeleteI love the cover quilt! Bright, cheery colors with a great design. Thanks for the chance in the giveaway.
ReplyDeleteMine would be all in pastels similar to Shabby Chic!
ReplyDeleteHI,love my bedroom, but it could be larger! I love the cover quilt+would love to make one similar to it!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing!

I am looking to building a tiny home so my master bedroom would be tiny and very quaint.
ReplyDeleteI visited and commented on Stitch This for the kickoff
ReplyDeleteI commented and visited the Fat Quarter Shop.

My dream master bedroom is a sophisticated nautical themed room; nautical because it's oceanfront property on a private beach. Now that I think about it, the decor doesn't matter as long as the beach is there, lol. Thanks for the chance to win!
ReplyDeleteI've been following along with the other blogs so far. Thanks again!
ReplyDeleteI never even knew or thought about a bed runner!! What a great idea! I've done 2 queen-sized quilts and want to do smaller projects now. I would love to have this book!
ReplyDeleteI have visited a blog a day for this blog tour. It is prominently bookmarked.
ReplyDeleteI love the master bedroom I have now, but it could use a few things - a much bigger closet, a separate shower, and a little more distance from the guest room! Looks like a great book - thanks for the chance!
ReplyDeleteI would like a giant walk in closet!
ReplyDeleteI have a bedspread that Megan's Burst would look wonderful on!!!
I think I have the master bedroom of my dreams now although it could be a little bigger. I would also like another bookcase. Our furniture was made by the Amish in Arthur, IL. It is mission oak. The tall headboard has leaded glass across the top. My tall dresser also has leaded glass across the mirror. We have a quilt that my mother made and which was hand quilted by the Amish women for our bedspread. It is a scrappy Jacob's Ladder. Need I say more? Nancy A: rangerer@sbcglobal.net
ReplyDeleteI'm so inspired to make a bed runner now!!
ReplyDeleteHmmm - I think I would love a shabby chic look crossed with a country french look in my dream bedroom. I love cosy and home-y styles :)
ReplyDeleteMy master bedroom of my dreams would not have slanted ceilings, which mine does now. I cannot put a tall chest of drawers or a dresser with a mirror in this room! It's a good sized room but limited by the ceilings.
ReplyDeleteI would love a beachy, ocean blues and green master bedroom.
ReplyDeleteit would be 16 by 16 and have a walkin closet and a full bath
ReplyDeleteIt was tough finding how to comment. Dream bedroom: lots of white sheer veiling/netting/panels and roses. Otherwise I like soft, simple, colors and bright...meaning of the sunlight bright, using white.
ReplyDeleteWant to make my idea of seasonal bed runners into fact. A BIGG chest of drawers for t shirts would be great
ReplyDeleteI'm moving into a house with a large master bedroom, walk in closet, great views. I think it's time to make a quilt for myself although I do like the idea of bedrunners...
ReplyDeletemy dream bedroom would be a big size, decorated in chabby chic/cottagy
ReplyDeleteVisited Stitch This and also Fat Quarter Shop...so much fun
ReplyDeleteMy master BR would be large and airy with a window seat for reading. Soft pastel colors and a white antique iron bed with a beautiful floral quilt on it. It would also have to have an old bench at the foot of the bed with more lovely quilts folded upon it.
ReplyDeleteI have been eyeing this new book. I love the patterns I've seen so far. I love the idea of changing the runners with the season.

I love old houses, but with modern convenience. A big room with high ceilings, picture rails and lovely wooden furniture, but a walk-in wardrobe and en suite too! I see it decorated in rich, bold colours and lots of rugs and cushions and lamps.
ReplyDeleteMy dream master bedroom would have pale blue walls, white furniture, a sitting area, and lots of light. -- soparkaveataoldotcom
ReplyDeleteIt would be spacious, have a full bath, a huge closet and room to put racks of quilts!
ReplyDeleteJust a shout out to Logan at Chocolate Dipped Quilts...I send my quilts from Chicago to her in Utah because she is so very talented and sooooo sweet!
ReplyDeleteOne that doesn't have my sewing stuff in it!
ReplyDeleteI'd love a bedroom filled with antiques. Nice book!
ReplyDeleteI Love the Burst bed runner! My dream bedroom would be an ocean of blues and greens for the peaceful effect of tropical waters.
ReplyDeleteMy dream master bedroom would have two walk in closets, a walk in shower, two sinks, a TV on the wall, a chair with footstool and a light, two night stands, no other furniture in the bedroom (as it would be in the closets). So much to dream for! The bed would have a nice quilted runner made from the book! Thanks for the chance.
ReplyDeletebig walk-in closet. no clutter stashed along walls. soft lighting, roomie and spacious. hot tub
ReplyDeleteI love all the pretty ideas in this book. My dream bedroom would be mostly black, Gray and white with small bursts of colour.
ReplyDeleteI have visited several others on this blog hop, including farbstoff - (Zen Chic) . I'm in the process of seeing what I've missed so far.
ReplyDeleteOh PLEASE... Love these looks!!
ReplyDeleteThe master bedroom of my dreams would be decorated in soft blues and greens and would have a big comfy chair in the corner for curling up and reading. I love the idea of bed runners - I usually have a quilt folded on the end of the bed anyway so this is ideal.
ReplyDeleteI like a homey bedroom with warm colors. King size bed and walk in closet
ReplyDeleteMy dream bedroom would be large with plenty of windows and a very large "hers" closet. :)
ReplyDeleteVery large, with a large, walk-in organized closet. Lots of neutral light browns and dark deep blues (not bright). A wall of bookshelves on one side and a sitting area to read.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to have this so nice to change the room the easy way. And so much easier to make and store
ReplyDeleteColleen
I like the bedroom I dream in now mainly because when i sit up I see the changing seasons reflected in the trees outside BUT I should love a walk in clo set (or two?), American style.
ReplyDeleteMary in UK
I love bed runners as they can change a room when you need a different look - I actually love our master bedroom at the moment !
ReplyDeleteThe bedroom of my dreams would have a closet almost the size of the room and be decorated in blue toile fabrics with navy accents.
ReplyDeleteI've enjoyed the blog hop and seeing all the pretty bed runners. I've been leaving comments and would love to be a winner!!
ReplyDeleteI never thought about sewing a bed runner before. But now I have plans to sew one to put on top of a cedar chest that I bought off of my coworker. Thank you, peterstankovich@comcast.net
ReplyDeleteI would love a king sized bed with fluffy pillows and colorful cozy quilts in different colors that I could change out with each new season.
ReplyDeleteThe master bedroom I dream of would have sliding glass doors that lead out to a magical garden. I would have a little Victorian iron settee there and speakers for beautiful background music (like birds chirping or a mountain stream),
ReplyDeleteThanks for letting me dream!
nettiecrain@live.com
Lovely quilted bed runners! I like this idea. My master bedroom would have soft colors, blues and maybe a little pale yellow or lavender. Overall I love blues, like light turquoise, slate blue, soft blues, navy. Semi traditional, clean, not too busy in pattern or too old fashioned, but not too modern. Thanks for the giveaway!
