I am very honored to be part of Nana Company's blog tour for her new fabric, Paperie! Beautiful soft delicate prints like you would imagine dance around her head. They are perfection, and I need so much more of it already! Amy from Nana Company is in the very top tier of my favorite bloggers and creators, I stalk her regularly! Major girl crush! Ok, now that I have scared you all...check out my Unicorns!
Do you love them? I do! I keep calling them boys. Or hold one up and say "do you love him?" But then I hear my kids calling them a boy. Any my mom was over the other day and said "He is so cute!" Its weird, they couldn't possibly be more girly, but I am a bit gender confused about them.
Also, I feel a bit silly about my project as I compare to everyone else on the list. There are some amazing beautiful projects, minis, quilts, handbags on this tour. And I decide to go the Unicorn route?!? :) :)
My children are happy I went the Unicorn route. After much deliberating Sophie got to pick first. It was hard for her. She landed on the hearts, with the mint dress. (dresses get her everytime) My 12 year old gets the one with pink cheeks, and the skirt. But both sisters don't even realize that 14 year old sister has them both on a shelf in her room. She swiped them after I took photos. So we will see where they end up. I am thinking they would look lovely in my sewing room.
I kind of freestyled this design like a challenge on project runway. A little pile of fabric, scissors, and a sewing machine. I had my mom over, and we decided on unicorn. We had some issues on the way, too fat, too big of head, too wide set of hips, huge thigh gap, you know, the regular stuff. So we finally got our pattern to a happy place, and these Unicorn friends were born!
I sure hope you guys like them, and that they are not the laughing stock of the blog hop tour. We will all hand our heads in shame. They already look a bit embarrassed to be so frilly.
Check out these other girls, awesome projects going on here!
