Dutch Pinwheel tutorial...

Hope everyone had a yummy Thanksgiving, we sure did! (and continue to do so)

Today I am doing a Dutch Pinwheel Tutorial...

Remember our sponsor Fresh Squeezed Fabrics?

Remember my pile of HST's?

This is what I am doing with them...

Start with four 5 inch HST's.

Sew together in rows, top to bottom...

Finished block 18.5"

Easy, Peasy, Lemon squeezy!

Thanks, have a good weekend, and make sure to check out Fresh Squeezed Fabrics, and remember, she is hosting a giveaway with these same fabrics to one of you...so stayed tuned!!!

  4. I am using this tutorial to make a block for a quilting Bee I'm in but have a query.

For the centre pinwheel your picture shows the top left square is split diagonally top left to bottom right with the coloured fabric in the lower section. The rest of the pinwheel then radiates out from there.

When it comes to sew the rows together the centre pinwheel fabrics have been rotated so although the diagonal split runs the same way the coloured fabric is now at the top!

Your finished quilt shows all of the blocks have been sewn as per the 2nd shown fabric placement. Is this correct?
