Fabric Tuesday, Link to us!

Welcome! Hope everyone in the US had a good Labor Day weekend, my family did. We all went camping! Lots of cousins, cousins, dirt, fishing, playing, eating. Just plain fun! I still haven't showered! Gross. I am not as big a fan of camping now that I am the Mom. So much work before and after, but in the end, I think it was worth it!

MY MONALUNA QUILT!

On to fabric Tuesday! Any crafting going on? Now that alot of children are back in school, are you all getting the time to sew again? I am. I can't wait to share more of what I have done, but for now, this fun simple brick quilt with these cute Monaluna fabrics. The fabric is super cute and fun! I really like this marin line I made this quilt from.  Meg and I have had a ton of fun with these fabrics, and also with the Anika line. (we made some back packs out of these, and have more plans with it in the works...

I did really simple quilting, just 1/4 inch from all the prints on the white. It was really simple, but I think it fit the fabric really well.  I LOVE the colors in this line. And I am especially in love with the birds on the clouds fabric. Love it!

I hope you like my project! Now show me yours!

Make sure to link back to us, here are the rules...

  6. Great choice on the quilting. Simple, straight lines can be very effective, or at least that is what I tell myself (haven't mastered free motion). Truly, I love the effect on this quilt.

  8. I love the seagulls! One of these days - like actually I'm after confident in my abilities! I'm going to have to spring for a designer fabric set so that I can have something that coordinates perfectly, too!!
