Block of the Month: Quilt Tops!

First Monday of the month which means our Block of the Month series! This will be the second to last post, today we will be sharing our quilt tops and Monday April 1st we'll share our finished quilts!!  Heather is currently binding hers and mine just got finished being quilted.

We each chose different ways to finish our quilt.  Well I'll let you see for yourself!!

Don't you love how Heather finished hers?  Each of us bordered our blocks to make them 15.5".  Then H added the darling scrappy sashing.  Can't wait to see it all the way done!  Not sure her finished size but I know it's a generous sized throw.

Close ups for some detail.

I decided to make mine a twin quilt for my sons' room.  My boys are finally getting "real" beds (ie not toddler beds) and I got the crazy idea to make twin quilts.

So I bordered all my original blocks but also made 12 additional 9 patch chain blocks.  Phew!  Finished size is about 67" x 90".

Fun to see this almost to completion!!

See you tomorrow for Fabric Tuesday :)
