As we've talked about before we were so excited that we were asked to be part of Moda's newest book, Sweet Celebrations. It's such a great collaboration of sewing projects for all of life's happy events!
Can't wait to hold my first copy! ....keep reading because we have a fun GIVEAWAY at the end!
Here's a little bit of eye candy. The pillow below Heather made, so cute right? You can slide little candies and gifts into the pockets.
This little mailbox I created along with the party hats. Can't wait for my boy's to use the mailbox this Valentine's, they both really love mailboxes for some reason, lol. The party hats are fun because the age/number is removable thus reusable!
Here's a few fun questions from Oda May to get to know us a little better.
What is your favorite birthday memory?
Megan writing :) When I was 18 my three best friends spent the night, my parents were out of town and we made music videos all night long. Including me starring as Britney Spears. I love to re-watch that old VHS tape.
Do you prefer to celebrate with cake pops, cupcakes or plain ole cake?
Ice cream cake, hands down.
If you could have a quilt shop spree what items would you snag off the shelf?

1 – 200 of 305 Newer› Newest»I so want this book! It seems that all I make are full size quilts for others. Tankfully I have 3 minis almost done. They have been a blast to work on.
I love making table toppers---they are so quick and are almost like instant gratification! However, there is nothing like finishing a bed-size quilt! Thanks for the chance to win!
Throw sized quilts. Large enough to use, but not huge.
I prefer to make lap quilts and baby quilts. If I am making a quilt to give away, I try to make it big enough to cuddle under.
What great looking projects! And a fun book. Quilts are my favorite, followed very closely by bags. Have a great day.
I am known for making table runners.... just ask my sisters!!! However, for big celebrations, like 50th, 80th etc, I make lap quilts. The book looks amazing and I am enjoying the recipes (fabric and food)in this blog hop!!
My favorite type of project is lap quilts, especially those I make as gifts for others.
My favorite type of sewing project is making a lap quilt. I love to make these and give them away. I just feel this is my way of wrapping by arms and love around the person. Thank you for your recipe and for the giveaway!
I think I like making quilts the most but I really like all projects! Thanks for the chance to win and the yummy recipe.
Right now, its bags or minis...I like something that will not hang around to be finished!
I have a few quilt WIPs but not many finished quilts! My favourite projects are smaller and faster, like pillows, bags or potholders as gifts for friends.
I love to make bags. I have one with a patchwork section on it, so it is like bringing a mini quilt with me. Also, I enjoy making bags because they are so quick to finish.
I love sewing little girl dresses....talk about a sweet treat!!! XXX
Cute book!!! Sometimes I love sewing smaller projects like a purse because I have something tangible in a relative short amount of time. But I have to say I enjoy making quilts the most. there is nothing like cuddling under one of your own quilts. :)
Cheers!

I love making bags! Thank you for the giveaway.
I could piece forever, so my quilts usually end up bigger than I really want to hand quilt!
Thank you so much for the recipe and giveaway! My favorite type of sewing project is anything for my 19 month old daughter! Not only do I love seeing her with it, but tiny things are cute! Tiny clothes, Tiny quilts! I love them all!
I like variety! Baby quilts as gifts, bags, lap quilts, just depends! Thanks for the chance.
I love lap sized quilts and wall hangings!
Thanks for a great giveaway!
I love your recipe. Now, I just need to win a copy of Sweet Celebrations. So many talented chefs touching our lives through this book. Thank you for giving all of us a chance to win. I am sure I can find a project from this book that will use that fat quarter bundle. I am a simple pieced kind of person and I really like the square in a square quilt. Looks hard but it is so easy and fun to work with any precuts.

For years I mostly sewed clothes. More recently I've started quilting but I really enjoy making mug rugs. I like learning new techniques and I am going to try to do some thread painting for a Snoopy baby quilt!
I love to have a couple of different types of projects going... one so can sew while I watch TV, a hand project. Another that is piecing at the machine. I am not a big hand applique fan, but do love buttonhole appliqué ad it goes fast.
I like to have some smaller projects to actually have some finishes! My favorites are bags and totes - they are perfect for trying out new fabric/color combinations and practicing free motion quilting
I love machine piecing and big projects, especially if you are doing to someone especially dear.
I love to design quilts, they're usually inspired by some sort of artwork or magazine. Occasionally I even make them ;)
I love to quilt, but my favorite thing to sew is probably little girls dresses! Love ruffles and using different contrasting fabrics. In fact I started quilting as a way of using my scraps!
I love table toppers in between larger quilts. Breaks it up and gives me a little "instant" gratification!
My favorite is bed size quilts. It seems useful instead of just sewing. I love all projects but that is my favorite.
Oh, quilts, definately!
I love piecing quilts.
Thanks for the chance to win.
umm, quilts. Baby or throw size. But I really love planning future projects!

I haven't done much sewing in the past couple of years other than quilting, but I have always loved embroidery and making little stuffed animals.
Sometimes you get to a point where there is just not enough room for full quilts, so I love to make table toppers you can still try out all the quilt blocks you want and then move on very fast.
My favorite kind of sewing is something that is not real time consuming. I want it to be appealing but simple. Let the fabric and colors tell the story!
hulseybg@gmail.com
My favorite sewing project is a table topper or runner. I think f myself as an attention deficit quilter and this size seems to be just right for me.
Yummm, that caramel corn sounds heavenly. Ohhh, for just a little sample RIGHT NOW!! I don't think I have a favorite - I just love to sew. Garments are my least favorite because of fitting. Guess I'd have to say my favorite would be anything that doesn't take fitting! :)
I mostly make bed size quilts (or working on them as quite a few are UFO's). Once I'm caught up (or nearly), I'll start making either wall hangings or lap quilts. Thanks for the chance to win the book and a fat quarter bundle. Enjoyed your Blog.

My favourite type of sewing project is one that I actually finish, preferably a bed quilt. Finishing is not my strong point lately.

I'm quite enjoying piecing a quilt for my son at the moment, but I also love garment sewing, I need a summer dress and I'm rather looking forward to sewing it.

I'm really about a quilt although I love bags, totes, etc...
I really enjoy making quilts, from king size down to a crib size. I also enjoy making a cool purse every once in a while.thanks for the chance to win such a lovely book full of brand new ideas and of course some fabrics! Yeah!
Baby quilts! Love to make something special for little folks. There is something comforting in the process and just knowing they will have something to cuddle with and maybe drag around till it's only a rag is worth all the effort.
Wow, that's a hard question. My favorite one is the one that I am working on right now, and it changes with every project. I just finished a bag - Cabo Bucket - and it is so cute! I can't wait to get my hands on this book. Hope I win!
I don't know if I can pick a favorite...I like big quilts and mug rugs and pillows! I also do clothes and bags. Thanks for the chance to win!
I like making Block of the Month Quilts. The choice of fabric colors is already made. So if I fall in love with a certain line and find a block of the month made from that line I usually sign up.
I love whatever I am currently working on; when I am tired of a particular technique, I change it up for the next project. If I ad to pick one, I find I really enjoy working on Wallhangings and table runners.
I love making quilts, minis and purses or bags! Would love to get my hands on this book!!
I enjoy a mix of projects going on at once. I like to sprinkle in really quick projects (like the tooth fairy pillow I made for my daughter tonight in 20 minutes) with the larger projects that take more time. That way, I get to take a break from my large project but still be doing something crafty.
Oooo - those party hats are adorable! I love to do small projects that can be completed in one sitting :) but I have plenty of big projects going, too!
so many cute projects in the book! how fun
I love making quilts. Actually, that's all I really ever do, I love it so much! :)
I am just obsessed with quilts. Thank you for the contest.
My favorite projects are either bags or mini quilts. I love a quick finish!
I'm too new to sewing to answer this one. But as a mom with four young kids, any project that is done in a jiffy appeals to me!
The only way I really love popcorn is caramel! Thanks for the recipe!
Having just made my first mini quilt, I think those may be my favorite.
Thank you for such an amazing giveaway! My favorite project is making softbooks - the totally hand-made notebook with the soft fabric cover and hand-dyed paper sheets...
I love making quilts...there's something about the snuggly crinkliness that I love.
Quilts are my all time favourite sewing project - I love making them & can hardly wait to finish one so that I can start another. Thanks for the chance to win a copy of this amazing book.

My favorite projects are quilts - and I love it even more when I actually finish them and not just have a lots of WIPs laying around;-)
Thanks and greetings from germany, Hildy
hildy(at)ebertzeder(dot)de
It's hard to say what my favorite project is....I am drawn to the original projects that teach me something unique that I haven't thght of before.....like the party hats or the mailbox!
I love sew quilts. The new designs and colors keep me going
Throw quilts -- a good size for all ages. soparkaveataoldotcom
Anything I make and I can put a smile on someone else face. The latest favorite sewing project would have to be my daughter's homecoming dress and watching her eyes light up when she put it on. Last month it would have been my quilted pillows. Sounds like every project is my favorite sewing project. lol Thanks for the chance.
I love making pillow covers! thanks!
I love big quilts (most making the top, rather than actually finishing them!) but my favourite projects are the little things that can be finished in a short time!
Well I love, love, love my Little Twister...but I just made my first two rag quilts...and now I am in love with them...I work full time so it is nice to be able to finish a quilt so quickly. Thanks for being so generous.
Throw sized quilts... Or children's quilts!
I like to make throws. I don't care how hot outside it is, when I'm on the couch watching TV....I love to be covered up with a throw quilt.
I like to do anything from miniature quilts, to full size quilts. It's about half and half....although, it seems to take as much time to make a miniature quilt as a full size:). So excited to possibly win this book.
Would love to win a copy of the book. I'm really into bright/fun quilts right now. Too much doom and gloom in the world, so I'm trying to brighten it up a little. Thanks!
I just finished a purse that I loved making...my loves change with the hour:) Great book by great people...hope I win one:)
Hand embroidery panels sewn into or onto all sorts of things.
My favorite sewing project is making quilts. Nothing like a handmade quilt!
I do many things: bags, wallets, but I prefer bed quilts! Thanks for the chance to win and the yummy recipe.
I like medium size projects like lap quilts or bags. :)
Susanne
I love a challenge! I am new, but I say bring it on!
I love your blog. I love moda fabrics & pre-cuts
What a fun birthday memory. When my son was probably 12, we had several friends spend the night. Listening to those boys giggle like girls all night was priceless. Miss those days!
I like quilts better than anything else, and I like to make them at least big enough that two people can snuggle under them comfortably, which means usually at least twin sized.
I like quilts I can put together quickly-like the jelly roll race quilt....instant gratification! :)
What a fun looking book! My favorite thing to make is bags, travel, makeup, tote, just all sizes and styles. I also love making quilts. Nothing like the feeling of completing a quilt. Thanks for the give-away!
I like making "sofa" sized quilts - not big enough for a twin bed but big enough for one or two to snuggle under while watching television. I think my other big reason for preferring that size is because they are so much easier to quilt on my domestic sewing machine!
I like sewing things that I know will be USED. My hope is that they will be used and loved, but used nonetheless.
What a sweet book! My favorite thing to sew is a quilt. But that doesn't stop me from making lots of other things as well.
My favorite sewing project is usually what I am currently sewing. I love to make bags but I also enjoy seeing a quilt come together. It is always an awesome feeling when you sew that last border on.
I like smaller projects...quilted pillows, wall or miniature quilts.
I like quilting, but specifically the part where I get to quilt it. Thanks for the great giveaway!
I have an obsession with pincushions. So I love sewing up cute versions!
I really enjoy small projects - hangings, purses - i like that instant enjoyment. Thanks for the opportunity to win the book. Take care....
I like to sew anything that will be loved and treasured for years to come.
I like a project that combines piecing and applique. The mailbox is adorable!
Currently my favorite projects are smaller things that are portable, since I don't have a lot of time to sit at the machine and sew! I have a wallhaning waiting to be quilted, a tablerunner finished except for whipping the binding down and a holiday project that is halfway hand quilted! Love the projects from the book!
Baby quilt or mini quilt :)
Love the tutorials, may have found a new direction for my mom's quilt!!
