Thank you!!!

Made for our Dad 2 years ago for Fathers Day. Our Mom snuggles in it now.

Megan and I just want to say a huge THANK YOU to all our followers. We got over one hundred comments and emails regarding the devastating loss of our father. Every day I have checked my email for more comments, and I am truly touched by each and everyone. We have each started several times to reply to every comment, and we will, but we cry each time.

The grief is intense, the sadness is palpable, the physical pain is real.

But, what is helping the healing immensely is each other, our amazing family, friends, neighbors, and even strangers. Also, and most importantly, the memories we have of our Dad. We all get together and talk about Dad and laugh and cry. The world lost one of it's best men. Truly, he was that great. We have felt much kindness and love from so many people. We will be eternally grateful for that.

Also, Megan will be home soon. We need to get our lives back in order. And that includes this blog. Megan and I love what we do, and want to continue to do it. Tomorrow we will be hosting Fabric Tuesday, first in weeks,  and hope many of us share your creations with us.

Thank  You!!!

I am very sorry for your loss. While one never knows how another feels, I do remember losing my father. It is so devastating. Take care of one another, best wishes to you.

So sorry for your loss. It sounds like you are doing well, and unfortunately, when you really love someone and they have loved you it is that much more of a painful loss. Be glad that you loved and were loved that much. I lost my Dad 15 years ago and still miss him and think of him often. Time doesn't heal everything, but it does help to ease the hurt a little bit.

Glad to have you back! I think I started following your blog just after your last family tragedy had hit. That is just too much for such a lovely family as yours. Here's hugs and love for you all :-)

So Sorry for your loss. I know it's not the same but I lost my father in law in March of last year. I miss him every day. I am glad you have the support of each other and the rest of your family and friends. I am glad you are back. (((Hugs))) to you both.

My beloved father died Nov. 30, 2013...being with my mom and sister, talking and laughing and crying, it really helps but oh, how I miss him. :(

Hang in there, and I will too. Hugs to you and your family.

I'm sorry for your loss. I lost my Momma 23 years ago to cancer. I was 15 and she was 36. Her bday is tomorrow and she would of been turning 60. I miss her every single day and the only comfort I can offer is that love knows no distance and the love your father had for you will be with you always. I'll be praying for you and your family.

So glad to know how much he was loved! What a testament to the kind of man he was...his legacy continues with his family and sharing the memories with each other!

God is good!

I think everyone would understand that you don't need to respond to all the comments. That's just too much! It's good to have your family to embrace during this time.

Oh, I remember that quilt from when you showed it off before. It's wonderful. Sending hugs and prayers at this difficult time for your family.

I am so sorry for your loss. I have found it hard to leave a response as your troubles hit me so close to home. I lost my father three years ago as well as my sister. She died from pancreatic cancer as well. It does get a little easier just keep concentrating on all the good times. I as you was very lucky to have such a wonderful father that he is hard to be without. I wish you comfort.
