I want some Vintage Modern!
Congrats!! And thanks to Pink Castle Fabrics!!
Another great quilt to feature today from Cinzia of deux petites souris. Cinzia is a very talented modern designer, she makes some great quilts! You can see them in her portfolio and in her shop. After you've had some fun looking around you can catch some of her tips too :) Here is her scrappy star quilt:
My Scrappy Star Quilt is quilted and bound!
I opted to quilt in straight diagonal lines through each square.
The binding is a bright pink floral fabric. Since the quilt is made up of lots of different scraps I felt it needed a strong color to hold it all together.
Plus this quilt is so girly, the pink was definitely suited here.
For the back I used some of the vintage floral fabric that originally intended to use for the centers of the stars (seen here). I like it so much, plus it contains all the colors used in the front.
Finished size is 36X36.

I love this quilt! So wonderful colours and great idea to use many prints in one star! I have made few wonky stars for a baby quilt and want to make much more! Thanks for an inspiration! x Teje
Such a fun scrappy quilt. The pink really does pull it all together! The straight line quilting looks great!
