An avid quilter, Kimberly began her shop as a side business while still working a corporate position, cutting, packing and shipping right out of her house during evenings and weekends. From the very beginning, she was committed to delivering top-notch service for every single order and customer. As the Fat Quarter Shop's reputation grew, Kimberly decided to make it a full-time operation. Her husband Kevin joined her not long after, and with his help, lots of hard work, and a tireless commitment, the store began to grow. Over the past few years a few more people have joined the staff!

My next new project? Hmmm.... It's probably going to be some baby quilts. Some friends of mine have had babies over the Summer and I'm way behind on getting them some hand made quilts (esp. since I made their 1st children ones!). One boy and one girl, so it will feel good to get those done. Since I'll be in "baby quilt making" mode, I'm thinking of throwing another one in there, for our little one due end of March (our 9th!!). Our almost-5 yr old insists that this baby is girl and my husband concurs (who's gotten it right 7 out of 8 pregnancies). We shall see!

wow- such great sponsors!! Next project up is yet to be decided: either a quilt with some batik jelly rolls, some romantic fabrics that will be pieced into a heart, a disappearing nine patch with holiday fabrics, or the baseball quilt my son has been asking for...
