Phew! What a weekend, traveling, eating, shopping, eating, sleeping, eating, cleaning, eating...you too?

I'm trying to finish up some Holiday gifts, as I'm sure many of you are! And I want to make my kids each a whole cloth quilt...can I do it?? I'm scared :)

Lucy's Playhouse and Fab Tuesday

Tuesday Tuesday! This week I have something fun to share! I have a project over on Love Patchwork and Quilting Magazine's blog! I love working with them, they're fabulous, and it's awesome that this free tutorial is available for everyone!
 

 Lucy's Playhouse! Sweet little project for a little to tote around the house.

I created a couple of mice finger puppets to place in the pockets. We also put some of her little horsies inside, you could really make the inside custom to your little person.

I used Moda's Sundrop by Corey Yoder. Such darling fabric!

Strawberry Quilt and Fab Tuesday!

Fabric Tuesday is here!  I'm excited to share a project of mine this week, as well as some favorites from last week!

I started the Strawberry Social (by Pattern Basket) quilt for my Lucy, who recently turned 4. Here she is on her birthday with the flower/deer crown I made her :)

I've made all my kids quilts when they turn four, so here is Miss Lucy's, still needs to be quilted :)

Fabric Tuesday, and my quilt start...

Heather here. I went to a quilt retreat this weekend and started the Fig Tree and Co Twirl pattern. I was nervous about starting, because it is a fall quilt, and I wanted to finish at least in fall. 

I didn't finish, but I made 20 of the leaf blocks. I just need to add sashing, and a pretty border. I hope to get back to it this week!

Timber Quilt Pattern from Fat Quarter Shop 2 finished quilt tops!

 

Megan and I were so happy to participate in the latest Art Gallery Fabric and Fat Quarter Shop Stitch quilt. Its called Timber, a free quilt pattern, and video tutorial (linked below)

I worked with Hello Ollie fabrics. I LOVE Art Gallery Fabrics, so soft and smooth. 

The pattern is well written, and I love how many colored diagrams Fat Quarter Shop puts into their patterns. I hardly have to read, just follow the diagrams. 

Megan's up next! I used Nightfall by Maureen Cracknell for Art Gallery Fabrics. I love the rich color palette, felt so fall to me!  And I have the most gorgeous owl print to back the quilt in.

And...I sewed the last two rows wrong, oops!  So I unpicked, flipped and was back on course! I didn't even notice until after I had taken pictures and I was looking closely, lol.

Timber is one of my most favorite patterns we've done while collaborating with Art Gallery Fabrics and Fat Quarter Shop! I think there is a lot of room to make it your own!
