An avid quilter, Kimberly began her shop as a side business while still working a corporate position, cutting, packing and shipping right out of her house during evenings and weekends. From the very beginning, she was committed to delivering top-notch service for every single order and customer. As the Fat Quarter Shop's reputation grew, Kimberly decided to make it a full-time operation. Her husband Kevin joined her not long after, and with his help, lots of hard work, and a tireless commitment, the store began to grow. Over the past few years a few more people have joined the staff!

My next new project is a simple scrappy patchwork throw--I need something to go on the bed in my guest room, and it's sort of a hodge-podge of a room, so scrappy seems like my best bet. Also, the scrap bucket is overflowing!

I need to make a new baby quilt for a very special long-awaited baby. His mommy has been hospitalized for several months, to get him here safely. Thanks for the links to some fun shopping!!!

I'm joining Scrap-a-Palooza and making a string quilt, starting by picking out the backing first. I LOVE that concept!

I am currently working on making quilted bags for a local charity fundraiser. I love making them and I love to sew with a purpose!
