No Bake Jolly Bar Quilt Top

Excited to share another awesome Fat Quarter Shop quilt with you!

This quilt uses a "Jolly Bar" a pre-cut you'll find at FQS.

I love quilts that come together quick but look like they took a lot more work than that! Lol!

AND I'm thrilled to have a Chritsmas Quilt! Isn't Holly's Tree Farm from Sweetwater darling?!

Our "forest" behind our house is bare again.  It's crazy to see, it's so dense in the summer that it looks so different without all the green.

This is a FREE QUILT PATTERN. Woot woot! Find it here.

You can purchase the quilt kit and backing as well to get started (featuring Windmere)

Thanks for stopping by!  Hope you enjoy these Shortcut Quilts as much as me.  Easy, peasy, lemon squeezy as my 6 year old would say (and write on his homework).

Simply Charmed Quilt Top and Fabric Tuesday

 Quilt top finish!
Finished Size: 36.5" x 45.5"

This simple and sweet quilt top is made of Hello Luscious charm packs and a few pieced blocks.

The blocks didn't stick out as much as I'd hoped.  But I am smitten with the color palette, so pretty!

If you wanted to make your own I'll give you a quick tutorial!  It's really easy so don't be intimidated.  You'd need two charm packs OR seventy-one 5" x 5" squares.  I made one small pieced block (the star), so the finished size for that would also be 5" x 5".  You could make as many of these as you want, just subtract from the seventy-one for each that you make!  Next I made two pieced blocks to replace 4 smaller blocks.  The finished size of those blocks would need to be 9.5" x 9.5".  Piece together as seen below.

It's fun to dress up simple blocks with a few pieced ones.  Can't wait to quilt it!  I'll share when I do :)

Fabric Tuesday Part 2

Welcome to Fabric Tuesday!

I hope you've come with some projects to share, but if not look around and see what you like!
On fabric Tuesday we share some project we have finished that uses fabric.

I finished the quilt top for my room!

It's a combination of traditional and modern piecing with modern fabrics and layout.

Thanks to my cute friend Ashlie for her beautiful home as a backdrop!

And a little close-up.

And even better, this afternoon I sent it off with our fabulous Aunt Wendy to be magically quilted.
Don't you all wish you had an aunt Wendy?!?
I will definitely be posting more when it's finished.

edit: the button should now be working!
HOW TO PLAY

Link up a recent craft project that uses fabric.

Mention us in your post with either a link or make it easy and add the button to your blog sidebar and you won't have to remember each week.
It can be either our blog button (on the sidebar) or the Fabric Tuesday button, you pick!
Follow us, we follow back :) But please comment telling us you did so!

And, ya know, (head down to the ground, sliding my toes across the ground, small voice) I guess if you like my quilt top you could comment and tell me so... :)

Oh and comment on each other, that's so much more fun right??

Your link can be quilts, clothing, pillows, etc..  I thought I'd share a really cute and creative example of what your project can be too. ie, it doesn't have to be sewn

This is my friend Ashlie's wall, and she used all these different frames and cute fabrics.  I L-O-V-E it!

Your turn!
